I started in 1987. When I was a young child I watched a great deal of Bruce Lee and became interested in Martial Arts so I started Karate. In 1982 I won the Japanese National Championships, middle class.
That night I realized I wanted to reach as high and as far as I could within Japanese old style martial arts. I decided then that rather than continuing down that road of competing and striving always to win and be the best, that I wanted to become a master in the old Japanese style, the kind of master that appears in famous books, movies and history.
